Miss USA, Olivia Culpo a 20 year-old Boston University sophomore won the 2012 Miss universe crown. The gorgeous, Rhode Island contestant came tops among 88 participants with Miss Philippines, Janine Tugonon emerging the first runner up while Miss Venezuela, Irene Sofia Esser Quintero, placed third. Olivia took over from Leila Lopes of Angola who won the competition last year. The competition, which was held this year at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, was hosted by Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic. Miss Universe is co-owned by Donald Trump and NBC.
